    On August 15, 2018, a military parade took place in Warsaw to celebrate the Polish Army Day. This year parade, held in the year in which Poland celebrates the 100th anniversary of regaining the independence, was conducted with greater splendor than usual.

    Over a thousand soldiers, 900 reconstructors, 200 military vehicles took part in the parade and 100 aircraft and helicopters appeared in the sky. The event was divided into three main parts: a walking parade, a vehicle parade and a historical parade.

    Polish Army Day is celebrated in Poland on August 15, on the anniversary of the victorious Warsaw Battle of 1920. According to the Ministry of National Defense, about 120 thousand people came to attend the event, which traditionally started with the President Andrzej Duda speech. Apart from Polish soldiers, the parade was attended as well by military forces from different countries, with NATO Battalion Group among others.

    The parade ended by the symbolic march of 100 soldiers with white and red flags to commemorate the 100 anniversary of Poland's regaining independence.
