    Minister Krzysztof Szczerski spoke in Tokyo about bilateral relations and security policy.

    From March 5 to March 7, Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Krzysztof Szczerski, held talks with Deputy Foreign Minister Motome Takisawa, Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and Deputy Secretary General of the National Security Office, Nobukatsu Kanehara and Chairman of the Japan-Poland Parliamentary Group at the Council of Counselors Hirofumi Nakasone. The topic of the talks was political and economic bilateral relations and the main issues of international security policy in the context of the Polish candidature for the UNSC 2018-19. Minister Szczerski pointed the 60th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations between Poland and Japan celebrated this year and the 100th anniversary of the establishment of relations between Poland and Japan in 2019, as an opportunity to give our relations a new impulse. The Minister also gave a lecture at the Japan Institute of International Affairs and met with the representatives of Polish society in Tokyo.
